Grading scales convert numeric scores into grades (A, B, C…) or performance levels (Exceeding, Meeting, Approaching, Below — for CBC).

How to create a grading scale

  1. Go to Settings → Curriculum → Grading Scales.
  2. Click New scale.
  3. Add bands with min/max scores and labels.
  4. Tick the grade levels and subjects it applies to.
  5. Click Save.

Notes

  • One default scale covers most subjects; add specific scales only when needed.
  • Bands cannot overlap.

Troubleshooting

  • “Score outside scale”? Extend the lowest/highest band or adjust max marks.
