As a parent or guardian you sign in to the same school panel the staff use, but under the locked Guardian role. That role is read-only and scoped to your own children — you see your children’s information and nothing about any other family. There is no separate app to install: you open your school’s web address, sign in, and land on a dashboard built for guardians.
Everything here depends on which parts of the system your school has switched on. A school that does not use the clubs or sports features, for example, simply won’t show those cards on your dashboard.

Signing in

When the school admits your child and links you as a guardian, Elimu Bora creates your account and emails you a Set Your Password link.
1

Open the welcome email

It carries your school’s web address (https://<your-school>.elimuboraerp.com) and a button to set your password. Use the same address every time you sign in.
2

Set your password and sign in

Choose a password, then sign in with your email and that password. If you ever forget it, use Forgot password on the sign-in page to get a reset link.
If you have more than one child at the school, you do not switch between them — your dashboard shows all of your children together, each named on its own cards.

Your dashboard

Your home screen gathers your children’s key numbers into a few cards. Which cards appear depends on the features your school runs:
  • Children enrolled — how many of your children are at the school, each shown with their name and class. When the school marks attendance, this card also shows how your children’s attendance is tracking for the current week.
  • Fees — your total outstanding balance (and how many invoices are overdue), the combined wallet balance across your children, and how much has been paid so far this month. Appears when the school uses the finance features.
  • Clubs & societies — for each child, the clubs they belong to and how many activities they have taken part in this term. Appears when the school uses clubs.
  • Sports & games — for each child, their team memberships, the fixtures they have played, and the awards they have received this term. Appears when the school uses sports.

What you can see

Beyond the dashboard, your menu lets you open the records that concern your children, all of it read-only:
  • Your children’s profiles — the basic record the school holds for each child.
  • Report cards — each child’s published report cards, with subject marks, average, grade, class position, and teacher remarks, and a PDF download. Each child’s profile also has an academic overview listing their cards.
  • Attendance — each child’s attendance history on their profile.
  • Invoices and payments — each child’s invoices with their line-by-line breakdown, and the history of payments made against them.
  • Wallet — each child’s wallet balance.
  • Clubs, sports, and events — the clubs your children belong to, the fixtures and awards involving them, and the school events they are invited to.

What you cannot do

The Guardian role is deliberately narrow, so you never have to worry about changing something by mistake:
  • You cannot edit, create, or delete any record.
  • You cannot record a payment in the panel. When you pay by M-Pesa, the school sends the STK push to your phone and your balance updates once it clears — see Finance & Fee Management for how payments reach the school.
  • You cannot see other families’ children, any staff records, or any school settings.
Notifications still reach you whether or not you sign in: when an invoice is raised, when fees fall overdue, when a wallet is funded or runs low, and for the events your children are invited to. Your stored phone and email are where those messages go, so keep them current with the school office.

Following each part of the school

Every module page has a What guardians see section that spells out, for that area, exactly what is visible to you, what stays hidden, and which notifications reach you.

FAQs

Payments are processed by the school. When fees are due, the school initiates an M-Pesa STK push to your registered phone; you approve it with your M-Pesa PIN and your child’s balance updates once it clears. You can always see what is outstanding on your dashboard and on each invoice.
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page, enter your registered email, and follow the reset link. If you no longer have access to that email, ask the school office to update your contact details.
Your account only shows children you are linked to. If a child is missing, ask the school office to link your guardian profile to that student’s record.
No — guardian access is read-only. Ask the school office to make any correction to a child’s record or to your own contact details.
